As you can see, this website is a work in progress. Originally, it's primary function was to give my friends a taste of my book "Hanging Out For A Living".  That process has been completed. Once the book is complete the site be a window into the actual world of hanging out with a blog to answer questions as well as a place to highlight who I'm hanging out with.

The book itself is a fable based in the city of Portland, OR about the adventures of Tyler, a struggling salesman and his unlikely mentor, an overindulgent 2500 year old Babylonian named Oscar.

"Hanging out for a living" is how I build my business. It is a method of doing business  based on the idea that what you give away you get back... in spades! By building business relationships that are based on friendship, not revenue, you eventually end up with a strong revenue stream that you didn't have to give yourself an ulcer to generate. It's easier to promote anothers' business than it is to promote your own, but by doing so, your business grows… and grows, and grows!

Please come back, as this site will be constantly evolving. I envision posting pictures and a narrative about the people I hang out with, adding a social networking component, educational material that supports the book, my speaking schedule, links to great places to "hang out" and, of course, a place to buy the finished book.
